Career Gem is made by Lumen AI. This page explains what we keep about you and why, in plain words.

What we keep

  • Account: your email and a securely hashed password, plus sign-in records used to stop abuse.
  • What you save: saved jobs, searches, hidden companies, your tracker, interviews you add, and your profile (job titles, skills, experience).
  • Sage work: the research, prep plans, mock-interview transcripts and tailored resumes Sage makes for you, so you can open them again.
  • Billing: your plan, credit balance and a record of purchases. Card details are handled by our payment processor (or by Apple for iPhone purchases) and never reach our servers.

Your resume

When you upload a resume, Sage reads it once to build your profile. The file itself is never stored. The resume text is kept on your account only if you choose “keep my resume text” (Sage needs it to tailor or polish your resume); otherwise it is discarded after reading. You can replace or remove it any time.

How we use it

Only to run Career Gem for you: search, matching, reminders, Sage’s actions and billing. We send the parts of your data Sage needs for a task to the AI service that runs it, only for that task. We don’t sell your data and we don’t share it with employers. Nothing is sent to an employer unless you apply yourself.

Signed-out visitors

Without an account, saved jobs and your profile stay in your browser. We use your network address briefly for rate limits and to start searches in your country.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, remove your resume text, delete mock-interview transcripts and cancel your plan at any time. To delete your account and everything on it, contact us and we’ll do it.

Security

Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, and your data is only available to your account.
